During our recent stay at the Ivanhoe, I was pleasantly surprised at how family-friendly the environment was. Our spacious room allowed the boys to sprawl out comfortably. I was thrilled to discover the Dune fields at Murlough nearby, teeming with butterflies, which kept my sons entertained for hours. One evening, we ventured out to the Castle Espie Wildfowl Reserve. Watching the variety of birds with my family made for memorable moments. The staff at the hotel were quite helpful. When our room keys inexplicably wiped clean from my phone-an issue for many tech-challenged parents-they came to the rescue without hesitation. Meals were satisfying, with delightful fish and chips, and the 3-egg omelette at breakfast kept everyone happy. As someone who often travels for work, I wish I had known about this gem years ago. The convenient location, alongside decent parking, makes it an attractive option for families. This trip felt refreshing, providing us a much-needed break.
